During the day
Ok, NYC is impressive largely because of the sheer number of giant ass buildings it has. But seriously, where is the beauty ? In Seattle, that’s where.
All. Those. Damn. Lights.
Blah blah blah…symbol of our nation…blah blah blah
Winner: SEATTLE, duh
*”Why a library?” you may ask. “That seems like a pretty silly thing by which to define a city.” Well I like libraries so suck it up.
While there may be a number of metrics you can use to judge how great a city is, on aesthetics alone, Seattle has this wrapped up. ALL. DAY.
Sunday was the rainiest day in New York history. Awesome. “7.79 inches of rain fell at JFK International Airport Sunday, breaking the single day record for rainfall in New York City.” I’d like to bring this to the attention of all of those with whom I’ve had the following conversation:
Annoying Person: Where are you from?
Annoying Person: Oh, wow. Does it really rain all the time there?
Me: Well, it does rain a lot but not all the time and it’s usually light rain. Actually, there’s more rainfall in New York than in Seattle.
Annoying Person: Really? I don’t know. I just heard that it’s always raining there… blah blah blah I’m annoying.
BOOM! I’ve been vindicated.
