Take That
Sunday was the rainiest day in New York history. Awesome. “7.79 inches of rain fell at JFK International Airport Sunday, breaking the single day record for rainfall in New York City.” I’d like to bring this to the attention of all of those with whom I’ve had the following conversation:
Annoying Person: Where are you from?
Me: Seattle
Annoying Person: Oh, wow. Does it really rain all the time there?
Me: Well, it does rain a lot but not all the time and it’s usually light rain. Actually, there’s more rainfall in New York than in Seattle.
Annoying Person: Really? I don’t know. I just heard that it’s always raining there… blah blah blah I’m annoying.
BOOM! I’ve been vindicated.
